TRUNK-or-TREAT!

Last night we went to a TRUNK-or-TREAT/chili/cinnamon roll party. It was so cute to see all of the little ones dressed up! Mabel was a CATERPILLAR. She was such a good sport. The hood kept covering her eyes... and she never fussed. A tiny "pirate" came up to get some candy and kept pointing at Mabel and saying something I couldn't understand. I finally realized she was saying, "can't see!" So I looked... and only Mabel's little nose was showing! PS- Merlene, your cinnamon rolls were delicious!

Snowsuit

Mabel is all set for winter! Here she is with her dad BBQing. It was a cold night so I put her in her snowsuit. I guess she could be a marshmallow for Halloween instead of a caterpillar... :)

THE ICE STORM OF THE CENTURY... Or is it?

As you can see... it LOOKS like the ice storm of the century. BUT it's not. Grandpa told us to leave the sprinklers on over night. We said, "maybe we shouldn't, it's probably going to FREEZE tonight," but he disagreed. We woke up to this morning to find this WINTER WONDERLAND.... in our backyard ONLY. PS- I slipped and almost broke a bone 3 times while taking these pictures!

Just Hangin Out

Mabel will be 6 months on the 21st of this month. She is growing so fast! She has been doing so many new things... she sits up completely on her own now. She is eating "stage 2" baby food (meats and mixed fruits and veggies). When she is on her tummy, she can push her whole body up, and almost pull her legs into a crawling position. She talks ALL OF THE TIME. She makes silly noises with her mouth and tongue. She is FINALLY growing some hair (Collin thinks I'm crazy... but really she is!) She crazily splashes the water in the tub, and she is teething! Well, no teeth yet, but lots of biting, drooling and fussiness. Oh and... she is still ALWAYS smiling!
